I’ve spent over 30 years in IT, which mostly means I’ve seen the same problems in different outfits, with slightly better slide decks each time.
Since 2008, I’ve been working as an Agile coach. Not in the “run more ceremonies” sense, but helping teams and leaders make sense of what they’re actually trying to achieve and why it matters. These days I’m working with companies helping them navigate delivery, people, governance, and all the grey areas in between.
What I’ve learned is this: most organisations don’t struggle because people aren’t working hard. They struggle because decisions are unclear, ownership is fuzzy, and everyone’s just about aligned… but not quite enough to move.
That’s usually where I step in.
